At Hidden District, we treat your cards with the same respect we give our own collections. Whether you’re across the road in Auckland or across the ocean in London, here’s how we get our gear from the District to your door.

Shipping
Dispatch & Processing

We aim to have all orders packed and ready for the courier within 1–3 business days.

  • If you're paying via Bank Transfer, we’ll start prepping your order once the funds clear (usually overnight). Please ensure payment is made within 48 hours to keep your items secured.
  • During peak seasons or major set releases, things can get a bit hectic. We appreciate your patience as we ensure every package is safely handled.
Domestic Shipping (New Zealand)

We ship nationwide using flat rates based on your region.

  • North Island Standard Delivery – $8
  • North Island Rural Delivery – $12
  • South Island Standard Delivery – $10
  • South Island Rural Delivery – $14
International Shipping

The District is expanding! We currently offer tracked shipping to Australia, Singapore, Malaysia, the UK, and the USA.

  • Turnaround Times: International orders typically take 6–13 business days via standard tracked services. If you’re across the ditch in Australia, you’ll likely see your package sooner—usually within 3–6 business days.
  • The Global Gateway: Don't see your country in the dropdown menu at checkout? Don't sweat it. Reach out to us at info@hiddendistrict.co.nz and we’ll do our best to find a way to get the goods to your corner of the world.
  • Tracking: You’ll receive an email with your tracking number as soon as your order clears the District and hits the courier network.

Important Disclosure: Duties & Taxes Hidden District operates on a DDU (Delivery Duty Unpaid) basis for international orders. This means the price you pay at checkout covers the items and the transit, but does not include local import duties, VAT, or GST in your destination country.

  • Your Responsibility: Any customs fees or "handling charges" levied by your government are the responsibility of the buyer.
  • Import rules vary wildly. We recommend checking your local customs portal so there are no "hidden" surprises when your cards arrive.
Pre-Orders: Secure the Future

Pre-ordering is the best way to ensure you don’t miss out on the next big set.

  • Release Day: Pre-orders ship out on the official New Zealand release date.
  • The "One Shipment" Rule: If you combine a pre-order with "in-stock" items, we hold the entire order until the pre-order arrives. If you need your protection gear or singles now, we recommend placing two separate orders.
  • Distributor Shifts: Rarely, distributors face delays or allocation cuts. If this happens, we’ll be transparent with you immediately and provide full refunds if we can't fulfill your request.
District Pick-Up (Free)

Local to Auckland? Skip the courier fees and swing by.

  • Speed: We usually have pick-up orders ready within 24 hours.
  • The Reveal: Wait for your "Ready for Pick-up" email before heading in. Just show us your order confirmation on your phone, and you’re good to go.
Returns & Refunds
Fair Returns

We understand that sometimes a delivery doesn't go according to plan. Whether a product is defective or the contents aren't what you expected, we aim to resolve the situation with the same level of care we put into our own collections. The following guidelines outline how we handle returns while ensuring fairness for both the collector and the District.

The Consumer Guarantees Act (CGA)

First things first: as a New Zealand-based District, we stand fully behind the Consumer Guarantees Act. If a product is faulty, damaged on arrival, or significantly different from what you ordered, we will make it right through a repair, replacement, or refund.

Return Eligibility & The 14-Day Window

If you need to request a return, please reach out to us within 14 days of receiving your order.

  • Condition: Items must be in their original, unopened, and "factory sealed" condition.
  • The TCG Exception: Due to the nature of the secondary market, we cannot accept returns on opened booster packs, individual singles, or any sealed product where the shrink-wrap has been tampered with.
  • Shipping: For approved returns (not related to a fault), the cost of return shipping is the responsibility of the buyer.
Pre-Orders & Change of Mind

We know hype can be a powerful thing! However, because we commit to stock levels based on your orders, we have specific rules for pre-orders:

  • Cancellations: We generally do not accept "change of mind" cancellations on pre-orders.
  • The 5% Fee: If we do approve a cancellation at our discretion, a 5% processing fee will be deducted. This helps us cover the non-refundable merchant fees and admin time we've already invested in securing your product.
  • Release Delays: TCG release dates are estimates from the publishers. A delay of less than 2 weeks is considered "part of the game." If a release is delayed by more than 2 weeks, you are welcome to request a full refund without any fees.
A Note on "Mint" Condition

As collectors, we know corners matter.

  • Minor Scuffs: Minor cosmetic issues on the outer packaging (like a small dent in an ETB box or a tiny tear in the plastic wrap) that do not affect the cards inside are not considered "damaged" under our policy.
  • Our Promise: If you’re a sealed collector who needs a pristine box for your shelf, leave us a note in your order! We’ll do our absolute best to hand-pick the cleanest copy for you.
Event Tickets

Life happens. If you can’t make it to a tournament or casual night at the District, here is the breakdown:

  • 7+ Days Notice: Full refund (minus a 5% fee) issued as store credit.
  • Within 7 Days: 50% refund issued as store credit.
  • No-Shows: Unfortunately, we cannot offer refunds for missed events as your spot could have gone to another player.
How Refunds Are Processed

Once we’ve inspected your return, we’ll trigger the refund to your original payment method.

  • Timeline: Most refunds take about 10 business days to show up in your account.
  • Alternative: If you’d prefer, we can issue Store Credit immediately so you can get back to building your next deck.
Non-Returnable Items

Unless there is a functional fault, we cannot accept returns on:

  • Sale or Clearance items.
  • Gift Cards.
  • Items specifically marked as "Non-Returnable" (like certain high-end Graded Cards).
  • Hazardous materials (like hobby spray paints).
